Happy day after the Super Bowl, and welcome to the first Music Monday! Today's song is "Mess is Mine," by Australian singer-songwriter James Keogh, better known as Vance Joy. While this song is from Joy's debut album Dream Your Life Away which was release in September, I recently heard the song a few weeks ago and it became one of my most-played on Spotify. His folky sound is a bit Mumford & Sons meets Phillip Phillips, and I love every second of it.
Joy is touring with Taylor Swift on her 1989 tour this summer, which I am lucky to say I'm attending! (And by lucky, I mean it was lucky that I had $150 to drop at the time the tickets were on sale.) So I will be seeing "Mess is Mine" performed live in Chicago in July! But for all of you who aren't so lucky, here is the odd music video for the song, featuring an Australian polar bear taxi driver.
